MOSAIC Elementary School

The Mehlville School District will host its first Early Dismissal Day next Wednesday, September 18th.

A one-of-a-kind experience is allowing some Mehlville School District students to learn cross-curricular concepts from the depths of Cliff Cave.

Enrollment in MOSAIC Elementary is a lottery-based system. The lottery application is now open for the 2024-2025 school year.

In the 2023-2024 school year, Mehlville School District can use up to five virtual learning days if our schools close due to snow or inclement weather. If more than five weather closures occur, we will use traditional snow days. Traditional snow days will be made up starting on May 30, 2024.

Everyone is excited to welcome students back to school on Tuesday, Aug. 22! This back-to-school guide will help parents and guardians get ready for the first day. It includes information about meals, bus routes, updating your family’s information and more.

In a unanimous vote on Friday evening, the Mehlville Board of Education has selected Dr. Jeff Haug as the district’s new superintendent beginning July 1, 2023. Dr. Haug will replace Dr. Gaines, who has been serving as superintendent for the past 8 years and will be retiring this summer.

Proposition E will fund competitive salaries to attract and keep excellent teachers and support staff at Mehlville School District.

We welcomed St. John's School, St. Louis Community College, SCOPE School and MOSAIC Elementary School students and staff who have called the St. John's building home during the past century for an Open House. St. John's first opened its doors in January 1923 and will be celebrating its 100th anniversary.

Four district schools were recognized for student growth in mathematics and English language arts in a recent report released by the St. Louis University PRiME Center: MOSAIC Elementary, Point Elementary, Bernard Middle and Washington Middle.

We are proud to announce that Mehlville School District was selected to join the Digital Promise League of Innovative Schools, a coalition of forward-thinking schools across the country who are providing students with unique learning opportunities.

An overwhelming majority of Mehlville School District voters passed Prop S on April 6. Prop S will fund projects to improve student safety and accessibility and complete deferred maintenance without increasing the tax rate.
