Dear MOSAIC families:

I would like to start this week’s email blast with gratitude to our MOSAIC families. We sincerely thank all our families for showing appreciation for our teachers and staff last week. From the tasty meals and treats, to the creative door decorations, our families made the week special for our hardworking MOSAIC staff. We have the best families at MOSAIC!

It was also exciting to finish the outdoor classroom on Saturday surrounded by dedicated volunteers. The process to complete the outdoor classroom took several years. The amount of work completed would not be possible without the efforts of past and present volunteers. There are too many to list, but I would like to thank our Outdoor Classroom committee composed of parents and staff for the guidance and endless energy to see the project complete. I would like to thank Albie Mitchell and his students from SouthTech for the support early on in the process. Angie Weber from Shaw Nature Preserve for her knowledge and expertise on selecting the right material to do the job right! To Mr. Deschler for his knowledge and supply of materials in creating a beautiful space for our students. The students will have the opportunity to enjoy the space for many years to come.

Although the space is complete, the work now shifts to keeping it looking nice for our school community. We will need continued support from our school community.

We are in need summer volunteers!

We are in need of help watering and maintaining the outdoor classroom this summer. If your family would be interested in helping for a week, please sign up on the link below.  If you have any questions, please contact Laurie Tretter-Larkin at tretter-larkinl@msdr9.org

Field Day for our MOSAIC@Home students

We would like to extend the invitation to our MOSAIC@Home virtual students to MOSAIC’s campus on Friday, May 21st for field day. Field day will be from 9:20am-12:00pm. We are still finalizing the details, but we want to survey our virtual families to see how many of our M@H students plan on participating that day. Please click on the link below at your earliest convenience to complete the Field Day survey. We would like all virtual families to reply in the survey so we can make our plans for the day as accurate as possible.
