Dear MOSAIC Families,

Welcome back from hopefully a relaxing and restful winter break. The MOSAIC staff is excited to start the second half of our school year. There has already been so much accomplished that we can only imagine what the second semester holds for our students and staff.

There are a few bits of information I wanted to share with you as we start the second semester. Students will arrive home today with their mid-term progress reports. Be sure to review your child’s report and talk with them about their accomplishments and set goals for the remainder of the year. Setting and reviewing goals is one of the best practices a person can put in place for themselves.

Mrs. Lammert, one of our school secretaries has taken a leave of absence to recover from a health related concern from the summer. We wish her a quick recovery and hope the best for her. We will have Ms. Maria Furman fill in part time during Mrs. Lammert’s absence. Ms. Furman has been in the district for several years as a secretary and we welcome her to MOSAIC.

I would like to welcome Stephanie Werner and Samantha Klang to MOSAIC as the 5th grade studio teachers. Both come to MOSAIC with a wealth of experience and knowledge and we look forward to having them at MOSAIC next school year.

As we continue through the cold and flu season, please remember to call MOSAIC’s attendance line before 9:00am if possible at 467-7910 to report your child’s absence. Thanks!

2018-2019 Kindergarten Lottery Process

The MOSAIC Kindergarten studio will host an informational meeting, this Thursday, January 11th beginning at 6pm for families who will have a child entering kindergarten in the 2018-2019 school year. Families will have the opportunity to learn more about MOSAIC, the teaching practices that are used and the learning opportunities children will experience. Parents and children will be able to tour the school, meet the kindergarten team and learn more about the instructional practices at MOSAIC. Current MOSAIC families with an incoming kindergarten child for the 2018-2019 school year will have first preference if they want their child to attend MOSAIC next school year.

Happy New Year! There are lots of ways to help MOSAIC this year and we could use your talents and help. We hope you will join us.
